What interests you most in volunteering ?
The fact of donating a bit of one’s time or money is never a bad thing, on the contrary ! The volunteer receives so many things back : positive energy, appreciation are only a few. Pesonally, I think that, instead of complaining, we need to bring an added value in order to build a strong community that makes us proud. As Ghandi said ‘Be the change you want to see in the world’
Why engage in volunteering when you are young ?
Why wait until you become an adult ? Volunteering or community service is a value to teach from a young age, because today’s volunteer is tomorrow’s efficient and responsible leader.
Which dir iddik charter value is closer to you ?
Integrity, sharing and optimism.
Can you share with us your most unexpected memory as a volunteer !
It’s not a memory but more of a fact : whatever you do or know how to do, you receive a lot more than you donate.
If the days were 25 hours long, what would you do with this extra hour ?
I think that if there was an extension of a daytime, I would use the additional hour to take care of the closest people to me. With work and activities that we plan everyday, we tend to forget about important matters and the people that are part of our lives.
Finally, the question you would like us to ask you ?
Apart from the sharing aspect and community service, what would be the role of volunteering in the development of personal skills and volunteers’ fulfillment ?
