What motivates you to volunteer?
What I find exciting about voluntary work is the opportunity to work with children and the smile on the faces of the young beneficiaries. This is what motivates me to work harder and put all my energy and my will into the actions in which I participate. My second source of motivation is the great atmosphere shared with other volunteers.
What are your previous experiences as a volunteer?
I first started as a volunteer in my neighborhood association. Our missions were fairly simple; they involved helping the neighbors, cleaning the street ... I then joined a more structured association, which helped me on a personal level thanks to the advice and support of my older siblings.
In your opinion, why should we encourage young people to become volunteers?
I believe that we must serve our country and promote a culture of good citizenship among young people. Change must not come from others, but must come from within. My message therefore to all young Moroccans is to invest and engage in these kinds of initiatives.
What are the attributes needed in a volunteer?
Courage and respect. Respecting oneself and others. Then learning and developing one's skills through experiences to help oneself and others.
Your message to people reading this interview
My message to volunteers and all young people is to commit themselves to these kinds of initiatives and become more and more involved. Be sure that you will meet people who will support you and help you along the way.
