My name is Ahmed Karam and I'm a finalist at Dir iddik Summit (2018) in the Volunteer of the Year category. During the past year, I participated in several volunteer activities organized by various associations.

What were your beginnings as a volunteer?

For the first time I volunteered three years ago with very active Facebook groups and more structured associations. We have helped Dar Al Ajaza residents, children in need and people with disabilities.

What motivated you to join Dir iddik?
Réponse
I joined Dir iddik last year after noting that the platform provided an environment conducive to volunteering and allowed young people to meet people who share a common goal: to do good around them.

What is your main source of motivation?
Réponse
My one and only goal as a volunteer is to do good and help those in need, be they people in mountainous recluses, seniors or young orphans.

What are the other benefits of volunteering?
Réponse
When we become involved as volunteers, we find that many things refer us to the "good", especially to meet people who share the same principles and ideals and with whom we weave powerful fraternal relations.

Your message to young Moroccans

I urge all young people to be involved as volunteers, whether in Dir iddik or with associations, and whatever their fields of activity, so that they leave their positive footprints.
